HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR TALK / PERFORMANCE

 

Simply record on your phone (in portrait) with;

- 15 Seconds about yourself

​

- 2 Mins. (max) about your 'Big Idea' or 'Amazing Story'. As stewards of Ideas Worth Spreading we bring together both Speakers and Attendees who are scientists, CEOs, designers, intellectuals, entrepreneurs, artists; we intend to bring together remarkable people across many fields. You can have an old Idea put presented in a brand new light; a truly amazing personal story.

NOTE: You MUST attempt to present in the TEDx style to be considered i.e.

​

A - 1st 15 seconds with a strong hook! and possibly the general backstory, the issue/problem, the steps to fix and the outcome.

B - There must be no commercial, political or religious agendas in your pitch

​

C- Humour works!​

A successful TEDxTralee Speaker make's their talks authentic, they pretend they are chatting to their best friend about their story, they become the hero we cheer for, we must laugh, cry and be intrigued with their Big Idea that is worth Spreading! or an Amazing Story that is truly inspirational.

NOTE: Finally, we get LOTS of self-help, mind-shift, mindfulness pitches; submissions that are copy & pasted to TEDx's worldwide SO unless your pitch is truly unique  then there is a 99% chance you will not see Round 2.

 

THE SELECTION PROCESS

1. 2 Min. pitch via WhatsApp to +353 (0)86 8389771

2. Our Selection Panel reviews & votes on all Videos

​

 3. Those selected are invited to Round 2 where they develop their talk to 5 min. pitch presented live on Zoom.

​

4. Those successful at this stage spend the following 6 months working with our Speaker Sherpas to develop their TEDxTalk they will present at TEDxTralee Women on October 28th 2025.

NOTE: TEDx is a not-for-profit organisation as is our TEDxTralee company 'Ideas Worth Spreading (Ireland) CLG'. As part of our Licence we cannot pay a fee to Speakers but we do cover internal transport within Ireland and accommodation, food etc while in Tralee.
